In the year 79 A.D., Pompeii vanished beneath thick layers of volcanic ash left by eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Pompeii: The Exhibition tells the remarkable tale of the city of Pompeii, hidden from view and forgotten for centuries until its rediscovery over 250 years ago.
Please Note:
- Pompeii is an incredibly popular exhibition. As a result, you may experience long lines and wait times, particularly on weekends and holidays. The Leonardo staff works very hard to ensure that all of our guests are attended to in a timely manner. To support each visitor in having the best possible (and un-rushed) experience, we do limit the number of people inside the exhibit at any one time.
- The Leonardo is open daily from 10AM-5PM.
- Admission to The Leonardo’s general exhibits is included with your purchase to Pompeii. Please allow yourself enough time to enjoy all The Leonardo has to offer!
- Tickets are sold for specific dates and times. The time of your ticket is the time you will enter the queuing line.
- Audio guides are available to rent for $5. The audio guide offers about 90-minutes of additional in-depth information. Recommended one audio guide per person. Audio guides are available in English.
